Welcome to Glenville
As you move west and north from Downtown Greenwich, you will reach Glenville. Glenville borders New York to the west (Port Chester and Rye Brook), Central Greenwich to the east and Back Country Greenwich to the north. Glenville is a lovely neighborhood and can offer more for your money than some other areas such as Old Greenwich and Riverside. Glenville centers around the Western Civic Center and small park with a field, playground and a few shops and restaurants at the Mill, including Le Lion and Bamboo as well as the best pizza in town at Glenville Pizza! Glenville has very quick access to the Merrit Parkway and to New York.
Port Chester is right on the border with Glenville so quick and easy to get to all the restaurants in Port Chester as well as the movie theater and Costco! Glevnille is a very short drive, about 10 mins, to the lovely Byram Beach, which is a lovely public beach for Greenwich Residents. As well as the beach, there are tennis courts, a playground and the town pool which is open air and a wonderful pool for use of Greenwich residents in the summer. Glenville Elementary School is the public elementary school in Glenville, which feeds into Western Middle School and then Greenwich High School. Glenville has risen in popularity in recent years and is home to the fabulous Citarella supermarket and will soon also have De Cicco, another wonderful high end supermarket.
