Welcome to Riverside

Riverside is very similar in "feel" and property, to Old Greenwich. It's a coastal neighborhood abutting Old Greenwich and hard to tell where Riverside ends and OG starts. Riverside also runs to the south and north of Route 1, with homes south of Route 1 and closer to the water typically more expensive than homes northof route 1 and further from the water. Riverside is bordered to the south by Long island sound, to the west by Cos Cob, to the north by North Mianus and Cos Cob and to the east by Old Greenwich. Many roads in Riverside, along the coast, have private beaches and Riverside is also home to the Riverside Yacht Club.

Riverside doesn't really have it's own main street, but it's a very short drive to the shops and restaurants in OG as well as Tods Point beach. There are a few great food shops in Riverside such as Balducci's, a small supermarket, and Cobs Bread, an artisanal baker, as well as Greenwich fish , a fabulous fish shop and Aux Delice for ready made delicacies and sandwiches. Riverside has it's own station with trains to Grand Central. The elementary school is Riverside Elementary School, which feeds into Eastern Middle School and then Greenwich High School. Like OG, Riverside has sored in popularity in the last 15 years.
